Volume 25 contains two of Engels’ most celebrated works, Anti-Duhring and Dialectics of Nature. In Anti-Duhring Engels set forth the basics of Marxism and summed up the new trends in social development and the latest findings of natural science. In the Dialectics of Nature he gave the first ever comprehensive Marxist analysis of the relation between philosophy and natural science, demonstrating their inseparable nexus and constant interaction. Once again he defined the content of materialist dialectics as the science of universal interconnection and the most general laws of every form of motion: the laws governing the development of nature, society and human thought.
